Split pane view

Reflect’s split-pane view lets you view and edit two notes at the same time.

To use it, press command while clicking a purple backlink (or control if you’re on Windows). The back-linked note will open in the split-view.

To close the split-view, press escape.

What is this used for?

The split-view is especially useful for creating and editing backlinks without leaving the context of your daily note.

See below, we are still in the context of daily notes, while editing a referenced note.

To close, hit escape

You can also toggle the focus between the left and right split views with: command option left and command option right
